At ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv, we’re always looking for ways to improve your student experience and one of the biggest projects we’ve been working on is enhancing the myÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv mobile app, the go-to platform for accessing all the university systems you need. Now, a new version of the app will bring your feedback to a new system.  

Designed With You, For You 

We know the best way to improve the tools you use every day is to design them alongside the people who matter most - our students. Over the past few months, we’ve partnered directly with current ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv students through co-creation and prototyping workshops to make sure every new feature of myÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv is shaped by real feedback. 

What’s Changing? 

Students told us what could make myÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv more useful, more personalised, and easier to use. The new version of the app will introduce: 

• A smoother, more functional timetable 

• A university-wide events feed, helping you stay connected to everything happening on campus 

• A home screen personalised to you, whether you’re Home or International 

• Mobile notifications for important updates (like timetable changes) 

• Tailored and personalised messages directly in the app 

• Customisation options, including dark mode 

• An AI-powered digital assistant to help you find information quickly 

• Clearer details on campus facilities, from study spaces to places to eat and drink 

• Improved stability and performance (lots of complaints around blank home screen) 

• Access to frequently asked questions 

• Teams and map location links in event listings 

What’s Next? 

The improvements don’t stop there. Future updates to myÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv will bring you even more helpful tools, including: 

• Booking functionality to arrange time with personal tutors and academic staff 

• An academic progress and wellbeing dashboard to track your progress and stay on top of your studies 

• Access to LearningZone

• A dedicated suite of wellbeing support features

This new approach to app development, delivered in partnership with Agile Professionals, means we can monitor how students use the app and respond to feedback more quickly than ever before.
