Students have arrived for the first time to begin studying at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv Leicester’s (ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv) new London campus.

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv London is the university’s newest branch, and the first to be opened in the capital.

Based at The Amp, in Whitechapel, the London campus offers specialised postgraduate courses focused on teaching innovative, sustainable business practice and leadership skills.

And this week, the first students have arrived on campus to begin their studies.

Zanib Iqbal, studying International Business and Sustainability Management, said: “I’m really enjoying the course being just two days a week, as it offers amazing flexibility with my time.

“The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv London campus environment is also very nice and peaceful, which makes studying here a great experience.”

Currently, the new London campus offers three courses: 

• Global MBA with Responsible Leadership MBA 

• International Business and Sustainability Management MSc 

• Responsible Data Analytics MSc 

A major focus for each course and the overall support ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv offers students at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv London, is helping students secure high-quality jobs.

Students are supported by a dedicated Careers Development team and have free access to exclusive online resources such as the UK Career Ready programme.

They can also access Student Circus, an online jobsite for international students and the virtual reality platform, Bodyswaps, to practice interview technique.

And, alongside this, each course has a concentrated focus on sustainable practices, informed by expertise in sustainability research.

Azara Hanif, also on the International Business & Sustainability Management course, said: “I like that at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv London we get breaks between lectures and seminars. The lecturers have a really good teaching style, which makes the classes much more engaging.”

A comprehensive carbon literacy module, created specifically for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ãºmv London, forms part of the academic programme. This will give students skills that are in demand by employers aiming to transition to net-zero, and who are looking for graduates that can bring the latest research-informed guidance on sustainability. The module also offers accreditation with the Carbon Literacy Project – a recognised leader for this training.
